Double The Trouble or Half The Fun?

There is alot of confusion in the PCD-community. No one for sure knows a release date for the second album of the Dolls, rumored to be titled "Double The Trouble". It's been reported that Nicole wrote 12 songs for the comeback album, but how many will actually be recorded is unknown.
With Nicole's solo effort (which I believe is too early), it leaves the other Dolls free to pursue solo projects as well, such as Jessica's outing with Paul van Dyk on "White Lies" (a great song I may add). Ashley recently performed as a choreographer and appeared on a TV program, where she actually spoke and gained notoriety as a Doll. Melody and Kim were on the red carpet at the ESPY awards where the two sang Don't Cha, with Melody taking over Nicole's lead and Kimberly actually being heard on the chorus. View the video here.
The future seems promising yet cloudy. With the departure of almost-maybe Doll Asia (and the recent belief in the PCD world that the whole show was all staged) and Nicole's solo work, the next album seems a LONG ways away. Jessica spoke on the subject not too long ago, saying the album would no longer have a fall 2007 debut as originally planned, but a January 2008 date.
That seems to coincide terribly with Nicole's solo effort. Does she intend to do both? Are our legs being pulled? No one knows. The record company is also to blame as well. Nicole's album has been pushed back, delayed and so on. The album was first rumored for April, then June, then September, and now a confirmed date of October 16. Hopefully that will not change. The plans for a solo effort should have waited until after a second album. Nicole is facing overexposure, like T-Pain. She is featured on will.i.am's album, 50 Cent's, Daddy Yankee's, and now she has her own album. The second album, with all Dolls performing would have allowed the band to equalize and calm rumors of she being the 'only' one singing. Then with her solo she could have all the opportunity.
Most consider the PCD a Nicole solo anyway. Nicole should have waited until after Album 2, but we shall see what the future holds. All I know is that the album needs to come, and come soon. It's been almost two years.

I agree 100% with everything you said. Nicole's solo venture is TOTOALLY premature. On the other hand, if I was her and as headstrong as she seems, I would probably be doing the same thing. I wish the best for all the girls but I can't see Nicole making an impact, especially when Whatever You Like is how she's introducing herself solo.
